While on site, they have to manage finances. They will record the amount of money spent on each activity and give this report back to the relevant personnel. The progress of work has to be monitored. Each task has to get carried out within the proposed time and budget. In case the need for any additions arises, they are expected to negotiate for this in due time.

These people will always act as links between all the other parties involved. They will present the interests of laborers to the employers. All the issues affecting them and any complaints will reach the administration through site managers. The instructions, desires and any changes in plan that the employers may wish to communicate to the workers on site will reach workers through these middlemen.

In conclusion, every project is supposed to have site managers. They are a very important group that perform vital tasks some of which have been discussed above. Employers must be very vigilant when hiring them so as to choose the best that will work under minimal supervision. The success of the project is dependent on their input.
